The Skill and the Heart
Ephesians 5:25-27
Communication is a skill that can be acquired.
The goal is use communication to love your wife well.
With you your wife should be safe, at ease and secure.
Is there impatience, shortness, coldness, hastiness, laziness, or unloving-ness in your communication?
Do you desire to defeat ideas and while doing so leave your best friend feeling defeated?
I can grow a beard by my communication is still learning how to walk!
Behavior modification won’t cut it. Ture change must well up from the heart by the Spirit after first drinking deep the water of Christ.
Being transformed by Jesus helps us be selfless. Which will translate to not being closed off, passive or lazy in our communication.
Jesus saved us and can do heart changes but he won’t speak to our wives for us.
