Day 20

Prayer for You

Talk to God

Just like a relationship with your wife will fail without communication so will your relationship with God.

Pray!

Through prayer you can thank Him, ask of Him, and share with him all the details of your life.

Nothing is too big or small for Him.

Use Matthew 6 as a guide as you learn to pray.

Our Father in heaven,

may your name be kept holy.

10 May your Kingdom come soon.

May your will be done on earth,

as it is in heaven.

11 Give us today the food we need,

12 and forgive us our sins,

as we have forgiven those who sin against us.

13 And don’t let us yield to temptation,

but rescue us from the evil one.

Establish prayer as a daily activity. It is an act just like working out, going to work, eating, taking care of kids. Just do it.

Scriptures

  • Devote yourselves to prayer with an alert mind and a thankful heart.

  • While Jesus was here on earth, he offered prayers and pleadings, with a loud cry and tears, to the one who could rescue him from death. And God heard his prayers because of his deep reverence for God.

  • Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land.

  • Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.
