Prayer for Your Marriage

Build or Destroy

Our choices determine if we are building up or tearing down ourselves, our marriage and those around us.

Protect the marriage with prayer. The marriage is constantly under attack and vulnerable. Let God help.

Building a solid foundation of prayer in your marriage is a priority.

Remember that our personal relationship with God is not contingent on anyone else. It is ours and ours alone.

Again prayer requires humility.

Scriptures

  • A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer. Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken.

  • For where two or three gather together as my followers, I am there among them.”

  • 10 Love each other with genuine affection, and take delight in honoring each other. 11 Never be lazy, but work hard and serve the Lord enthusiastically. 12 Rejoice in our confident hope. Be patient in trouble, and keep on praying. 13 When God’s people are in need, be ready to help them. Always be eager to practice hospitality.

  • In every place of worship, I want men to pray with holy hands lifted up to God, free from anger and controversy.
